Director, Proteus Environmental Technologies

Teresa Forst has over 25 years of experience in alternative energy development and project finance, personnel and international management, law, sustainability initiatives, and university research and development.


Previously, she worked for Shell Oil Company, was Managing Partner of the Phoenix office of the international law firm of Bryan Cave LLP and was the Strategic Initiates Officer for Sustainability at ASU. While at Bryan Cave, Ms. Forst also served as one of 13 members of the firm’s Executive Committee that established worldwide strategic, operations, and financial direction for the international firm. She also developed the strategic vision for the Phoenix office of Bryan Cave that expanded the office from 23 lawyers to 85 lawyers and increased revenue over 500% in 5 years.


At ASU, Ms. Forst was Director for Sustainability Initiatives at the ASU Foundation. In addition, she played a lead role in the development of The Sustainability Consortium; a multi-institutional research consortium consisting of colleges and universities, private sector entities, governmental agencies, and public interest groups dedicated to establishing scientific standards for measuring the sustainability of consumer products. The consortium was widely publicized in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.


Teresa has a law degree from South Texas College of Law and an MBA in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
